Variety of Beads

Lots of Different Beads

To me, the most fun part of making a beaded id badge lanyard is to choose beads and design the lanyard.  The lanyard at the right is in the always popular colors of black and silver.  I use crystals, silver beads, freshwater or glass pearls and seed beads in many of my designs.

I really like to use seed beads for about 1/3 to 1/2 of the lanyard.  They are light weight, and help pull together the color scheme.  There are thousands of seed bead mixes and different colors of seed beads available so I am able to mix and match them with the theme of the design.  I often use one larger focal bead in the front at the bottom of the lanyard that is attached to the lanyard clasp.

Polymer clay beads, resin flowers and lampwork beads always add a feminine touch to a beaded id badge lanyard. Some of my favorite lanyards that I have designed are displayed in the photos below.
